VISA REQUIRED FOR U.S. CITIZENS
VISA REQUERIMENTS FOR TOURIST TRAVEL
1. Valid Passport
Applicant must submit their current passport along with a copy with the biodata page. Ghana visas are stamped into a passport, therefore the original passport is required.
Note: In order to obtain Ghana visas, passport must have one blank visa page (typically the last few pages of the passport are marked “Amendment” and are not valid for visas) and must be valid for at least six months past the date of entry into Ghana.
2. Visa application Form
Applicant must submit (2) completed Ghana visa applications. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only. Click here to fill-in and print copies of the visa application form.
3. Passport Photos
Two recent 2″ x 2″ passport photos of the applicant is required: Please click here for photos guidelines or to take a photo using your smartphone and submit it online.
4. Proof of Travel
Applicant must submit a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking print showing a departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure for Ghana.
5. Health requirements
Applicant must provide proof of Yellow Fever vaccination as this is required for entry into Ghana and is often requested by the consulate during the visa process.
BUSINESS TRAVEL
- Along with the documents required above please submit a letter from the Employer in the United States. Invitation letters from their hosts/sponsors and evidence of means of their sustenance while in the country. If staying in a hotel, please provide a signed hotel confirmation.
STUDENT VISA
- Students going to study in Ghana are required to produce admission letters from the Institution or University including dates of enrolment – Copy of student card.
