VISA REQUIRED FOR U.S. CITIZENS
NOTE
Tourists may obtain a visa in advance or on arrival at an Egyptian airport for a $ 15 fee, paying in U.S. dollars. All travelers are advised to obtain visas in advance. Tourists arriving overland and/or those who previously experienced difficulty with visa status should obtain a visa prior to arrival.
VISA REQUIREMENT FOR TOURIST TRAVEL
1. Valid Passport
The applicant’s passport, valid for a minimum of 6 months, with a least one blank visa page available.
2. Passport Photo
Two recent 2″ x 2″ passport photos of the applicant is required: Please click here for photos guidelines or to take a photo using your smartphone and submit it online.
3. Proof of Travel
Applicant must provide a computer-generated itinerary from a travel agency or online booking showing a departure from the U.S. and arrival/departure for Egypt.
Although an applicant may be submitting documents along with other family members, applications are treated individually. If the applicant is under 18 years old please submit.
– Color copies of parents passports. In the absence of passports from both parents, include color copies of driver’s license or other state issued id.
– Include a letter of authorization for the child to obtain visa and travel.
4. Visa Application
Applicant must submit one completed visa application. Applications should be printed single-sided and signed in blue or black ink only. Click here to download, print, complete and sign the Visa Application.

5. Business Cover Letter
Business visa applicants must provide a company letter stating the traveling employee’s name and title, contact in Egypt and de purpose of the trip to be conducted and a statement that the company takes full responsibility for the applicant.
